English Philology


The course gives the student the opportunity to speak fluent English, and also allows him to acquire interdisciplinary knowledge from widely understood humanities, including Cultural Studies, Pedagogy and Psychology. English Philology will be an excellent choice for people who are interested in the culture and history of English-speaking countries, as well as for those who would like to work as an interpreter, a foreign language teacher or use English in any field of employment and business.

English language in the Hotel Industry and Tourism

The specialty is intended for people with knowledge of English at the B1 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages system, who want to improve their language skills necessary to work in the widely understood hotel and tourism industry. The training program involves preparing students for effective communication in oral and written form during the service of a hotel guest, as well as in the organization and operation of tourist traffic, both incoming and outgoing.

The graduate will be endowed with the knowledge, skills and competencies, in particular, in the field of tourism law, management, marketing and PR fundamentals, international tourism, business and commercial correspondence, principles of tourism services, cultural aspects related to international contacts, or specialized professional terms. Training prepares for employment in tourist enterprises (in hotels, boarding houses), travel agencies, tourist information centers, car rental companies, etc.

1. First, fill out the online questionnaire

2. Attach to the questionnaire copies
of the required documents:

  • copy of the Matriculation Certificate
    (for Bachelor's Degree admission)
  • a copy of the document confirming
    knowledge of English at the minimum level B1
  • a copy of the document confirming
    the knowledge of the Polish language (applies to foreigners)

3. If you can not attach documents
to the questionnaire, you can send copies of the above documents to the address of Humanitas University, Sosnowiec 41-200, 43 Kilińskiego Street, marked "Admissions Office" – documents for admission to study or bring in person.

4. The results of the recruitment
will be announced on 10/07/2019 on the website of Humanitas University.

5. Check the results of the recruitment,
if you meet the requirements, then within 14 days you must contact the Admissions Office to sign the contract and complete the process.

To sign the contract, You must bring
the originals of the following documents:

  • original Matriculation Certificate
    (for Bachelor's Degree admission) – for inspection
  • document confirming the knowledge of
    the Polish language (concerns foreigners) – for inspection
  • two signed color photos for the student ID,
    size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm (in accordance with the requirements for the ID card)
  • evidence of formal disability
    (if applicable) – for inspection
  • ID card – for inspection
  • document confirming the financial situation
    (in the case of a declaration of a difficult financial situation)
